Thursday Night Concert Series

During the summer months, Fruita hosts free outdoor concerts every Thursday night. This Thursday Night Concert Series is held at the Fruita Civic Center and goes from 7:30 pm-10:00 pm. The fun starts on June 4th and goes clear until August 13th.

The attendance of these concerts are consistently high, so it’s a great opportunity to spend time with family or meet new people. These concerts capture Fruita’s summer culture and community spirit. Live bands play genres like country, blues, Americana, bluegrass, classic rock, and more. It's a fun, casual experience and people usually bring lawn chairs, blankets, kids, dogs, and picnic food.

Families and friends gather with lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a cooler mountain evening and a relaxed community atmosphere.

The grill opens at 6 p.m. with burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, polish sausage, and other concessions available for purchase, while the movie begins at dusk. This year’s series kicks off on June 5 with Guardians of the Galaxy and wraps up on August 14.

Before the movie, there are activities for kids and family such as volleyball, hay rides, corn hole, tether ball, bingo, and relay races. There’s plenty of space to create lasting memories.

Even better, this summer tradition is the main fundraiser for the Glade Park Volunteer Fire Department. The proceeds help support the local firefighters who serve Glade Park’s community.
